Efficient photodetectors that can be easily engineered for a specific spectral window are of high interest. Here, we report on the design, fabrication, and characterization metasurface-enhanced photodiodes using colloidal quantum dots. We fabricate photoconductors optimized wavelength range around 1550 nm featuring responsivities up to 8000 A/W with low noise equivalent powers order tens pW/Hz. Further, produce ?5 mA/W offer faster responses (14 ?s rise time). The due metasurface, which increases absorption by factor 10 compared dot thin film same thickness structure enables photo-gain. introduce metasurface detect either two orthogonal polarizations. fabricated operate at voltages (1–5 V), making them compatible complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) read-out circuitry.
